Application for UCLA Summer 2015 Bioscience Research Internship
June 22 –July 17 on UCLA Campus
Students will work in a laboratory on a research project, learning the process of hypothesis
development, experimentation and data interpretation.
They will be mentored and guided by UCLA faculty and staff on a daily basis. There will also be regularly scheduled meetings between UCLA students and scientists at various career stages. These meetings will provide information about STEM careers and education & training opportunities at the university level.
Requirements:
(1) Must be 16 years old by June 22, 2015.
(2) Must have taken AP Biology and have earned an A or B grade.
(3) Must be willing to commit 30 or more hours per week between 9am and 6pm, Monday – Friday.
(4) Must complete online laboratory safety courses prior to the beginning of the internship.
(5) Work permit/Student ID card from LACES
(6) Parent or guardian must give permission and complete waiver of liability forms.
An informational meeting will be held in the LACES auditorium on Friday April 10 during lunch.
