Your current Engrade is most updated info. Having said that there are still some of you that did not do presentation due to various reasons. You have until day 2 to finish all your work some cases day 3. Your grade is not entered yet if you did not present yet. So, you may see a blank and lower percentage. Until your project grade is entered percentage on engrade will not be accurate. Of course, majority of you are done with the presentation and received your notebook back. If your notebook was not returned to you or did not turn in your notebook your grade is incomplete.
This is the information regarding make up work during spring break.
All these will be due by Sunday4/20/14) midnight to turnitin.com before you return to school next day Monday. attach one article at a time there will be 10 "make up article" entries. Start from #1 and move up to #2 and etc.Please do your own work there will be no partial credit if the paper integrity is questionable.
You can NOT make up projects since you were given numerous opportunities to do so.
But, you can make up your composition notebook grade and the outlines up to 100 points. This include all notebook grades.
Here are the criterias:
1. Choose scientific article of 2 or more pages in length from online and/or magazines

HW#3: Bring TWO index cards filled with chpt 10 notes. It is ok to write answers for the layered book also. You need to know everything on the worksheet especially multiple choice questions and the questions that begin with the word "match". It means matching questions.. You will be asked to write 5 things you learned with supporting evidences.
For example: I learned that strong wave is caused by strong wind. Evidence of this is winter beach where there is presence of strong storm. Winter storm causes strong wave due to strong wind.
Another example: I learned that the mudflow can be caused by previous summer’s fire. The evidence of this is there is severe mudflow in the forest area that had fire previous summer because trees can not hold down soil nor absorb water.

Since so many of you asked, here's the procedure for the "oobleck" or "slime" we made today. It comes out better if you double the material.
Materials needed:
1/2 teaspoon of Borax (can get from grocery)
water (tap)
food coloring.
2 plastic ziplock bags
1/4 cup of glue (this can be a bottle if material was doubled)
Procedure:
1. In one plastic bag add 1/2 tsp of Borax and add 1/2 cup of water and mix well.
2. In the other plastic bag, add 1/4 cup of glue, add food coloring, and 1/4 cup of water and mix well.
3. Pour mixture from #1 into #2 misture
3. mix well with your hand for about 10 minutes.
4. Discard the water and play it with your hand for another 5 minutes until you get the texture you like.

The test is postponed until first day your return from the Veteran's day as you voted. On the day of exam please prepare the packet to turn in. You may bring an index card.
