English 9 (Period 6)

Course Description

Abbreviated Syllabus: In the 9th grade the California State Standards for English (see links) are divided into learning sets of persuasion, exposition, and literary analysis. I will be teaching LAUSD’s new program which is fifteen lessons long for each of these areas of emphasis, the literature below reflects this.

Assignments: If you would like to know what your student is learning at any given moment I recommend one of two sources, their agenda or their Assignment Sheet.
 
To Contact Me: Calling the school and leaving a message for me at the main office is the quickest way to contact me. I check my LAUSD email (under the LACES URL) once a week, so please expect a slow turn-around if you write an email. Don’t forget that you can call and request a conference if you have any questions regarding your student’s behavior.
