LACES Summer Reading – 2025

At LACES, we strongly encourage all students to continue reading during the summer months to build and strengthen their literacy skills. While summer reading is not required, it is highly recommended as a way to maintain academic growth and foster a lifelong love of reading.

For AP Students

Students enrolled in AP Language and Composition or AP Literature and Composition should review the AP Summer Work document for required assignments.

For All Other Students

Students in all other grades are encouraged to choose books that genuinely interest them. Reading for enjoyment is one of the best ways to improve comprehension, vocabulary, and critical thinking.

We’ve provided a list of recommended—but not required—titles for incoming 6th through 10th graders. You can explore the suggestions in the attached document below.
