** LACES will have about 240 openings for the incoming 6th grade class.
Openings for the upper grade levels (7th - 10th) will be dependent on the number of non-returning students. Please note that this number averages between 3-15 openings each year per grade level.
We do not accept students in the 11th or 12th grades.
We are pleased to announce that Mid-City's Prescott School of Enriched Sciences has been selected as our sister school. Mid-City's Prescott School of Enriched Sciences is the only feeder elementary school to Los Angeles Center for Enriched Studies (LACES). The Biosphere is Mid-City's primary theme. The areas of student study include the lithosphere, atmosphere, and hydrosphere, earth, air, and water, respectively. Students who attend Mid-City Prescott School of Enriched Sciences will automatically matriculate to LACES after 5th grade culmination.
