Friends Of LACES Homepage (FOL)

Hello LACES Families,

Welcome to the 2022- 2023 school year! We’ve come a long way from a small class of students back in 1978 along with a group of hard working parents who crossed their fingers that their master plan of making the first magnet school in LAUSD-- LACES-- a top performing school in the city of Los Angeles.  Congratulations to those parents and the thousands of parents that followed, who have donated time, money, creativity, sweat and tears to the LACES community. Each year 95% of LACES graduates are accepted into colleges and universities and more importantly, are prepared for life. No small feat.

In 1993, The Friends of LACES (FOL) booster club was established. The purpose of FOL is to support the goals of LACES with supportive and inclusive events, projects and fundraisers.    

Every parent is automatically a member of FOL. FOL  meets The 3rd Thursday of the month at 8:00 am in the Parent Center.  There are also many important sub committees that meet regularly. We encourage and hope every parent will find a way to participate in FOL activities that correspond to their availability and interest.

Each parent at LACES, with their skills, talent and genuine support not only help their own child but the entire LACES community.  We are many, but we are one.
