Attendance Office Procedures

Attendance Office Procedures:

Clearing your Absences
Bring all notes to clear absences to the Attendance Office first thing in the morning when your child returns to school.

5 or more days of absence - You must send your child to school with a doctor's note.

You will receive an automated phone call whenever your child is tardy or absent from class - even if you are already aware that he/she is out of class (ie, sports).

Request from teachers homework or make up work when you child returns.

You do not need to call in the morning to tell us that your child will be absent. Send a note with them when they return to clear the absence.

Leave Early Notes
If your child is leaving school early (ie, doctor's appointment), have them bring a note to the Attendance Office in the morning. They will then receive a blue slip and this will prevent us from having to interrupt a class in order to summon your child. These notes must be dropped off in the morning and must include the parent's name, phone number, and signature for verification purposes. Please don't email notes to the office. Notes can only be emailed to attendance office staff with prior approval and for emergencies only.

For safety reasons, students under 18yrs. old MAY NOT leave campus early on their own. This includes seniors who are not 18yrs old. Please come into the office to pick up your child when leaving early.
